When Fujifilm announced its FinePix X100 retro-styled large-sensor compact at Photokina 2010, it captured the imagination of serious photographers in a way the company seemed not to have quite anticipated. The X100's combination of 'traditional' dial-based handling and outstanding image quality brought widespread plaudits, making it something of a cult …

Today I'll receive my (like new with warranty) 2015 Fuji X-Pro 1 body. The price is insanely low for such a nice camera. It really is. I'm sure it will be a nice complement to my X-E2. Yes, better camera models are coming at the end of this year. Possibly with a new higher resolution sensor, faster autofocus and more features.

Fuji X-Pro1 Review - Photography Life

    https://photographylife.com/reviews/fuji-x-pro1
I came back with a lot more pictures with the Fuji X-Pro1, because I just did not feel like lugging around with a heavy DSLR and two lenses in a camera bag. The Fujinon 35mm f/1.4 lens was pretty much glued to the X-Pro1 body, hanging off my neck, while the 18mm lens comfortably sat in my jacket pocket.

However the X-Pro1's automatic white balance tends to be pretty good, and the in-camera processing does an excellent job of noise reduction, so the advantage here is not as great as with some other cameras. This example, shot under low-intensity fluorescent light at ISO 3200, compares the X-Pro1's default JPEG noise reduction with ACR's.

Here's an expanded view of the X-Pro1's depth of field scale using the 35mm lens. At a focus distance of about 2.2 m and an aperture of F8, most depth of field calculators will indicate an in-focus range of 1.7 - 3 m; the X-Pro1 instead shows just 2.1 - 2.4 m.

Fujifilm X-Pro1 in-depth review: Digital Photography Review

    https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/fujifilm-x-pro1/22
The X-Pro1's video quality is OK, but not great. As when shooting stills, colour is natural and appealing, and white balance generally pleasing. Exposure tends to be well-judged, but highlights are rather prone to clipping in bright light.

dpreview conclusion The X-Pro1 marks Fujifilm's entry into the high-end mirrorless interchangeable-lens market, and combines excellent image quality with fluid handling. The hybrid optical/electronic viewfinder is excellent, but autofocus is relatively slow and manual focus doesn't work very well. 79% Silver Award Good for
