    This is pretty simple. I use Lightroom Classic for my DAM (Digital Asset Management). When I import images from my SD cards, I set them up so that my files are named by year-month-date-image number. My main folders are set up by year, by month, by day. So when I import new images, I make sure I’m importing them to the correct year/month folder.

    Make sure you're in Library view. To enable Libraries in the navigation pane, click View > navigation pane > Click "Show libraries". For example, in Pictures Library i set: Arrange by > Folder.     The only suggestion I can make is to use Windows Explorer, go to the folder and select one file, then use CTRL+A to select them all - then use VIEW - SORT BY and select DATE. That will ensure they are in date order (you can refine into Descending or Ascending) then relatively easy to select as required and copy/move to another folder as required.
