    M31 is 3 degrees across so your final image will be in the region of 28mm. I guess the sensor is not that big. Even a full frame would need the sensor orientation to be known. You say you captured 50 exposures - of what duration? You likely need to be getting 50 at 40-60 seconds each. ISO try 400 or 800.
