    Typically, the rule is to have your shutter speed one step higher than the focal length you are shooting at. For example, if you are shooting at 200mm, the ideal shutter speed would be 1/250 of a second. At 50mm, you want to be at 1/60 of a second. I have found success shooting at 1/50 of a second, even at 200mm.
