    Calculating the right exposure for low-light settings feels like more of an art than a precise science. The F-stop number determines how wide your camera’s aperture is and the lower the f-number, the wider the aperture. Each time you increase the f-number, you effectively halve the size of the aperture which halves the amount of light through.
