How do you use the interval timer on the Nikon D7000?

    https://www.thephotoforum.com/threads/how-do-you-use-the-interval-timer-on-the-nikon-d7000.297888/
I don't understand the interval timer on the Nikon D7000. Someone please help me from ripping my hair out. I am supposed to input: (the number of intervals) x (the number of shots per interval) = Total number of shots.i.e., 003 X 2 = 0006. Say if I wish to do star trails and I want to take, say, 200 individual exposures of 1 minute each (with the shortest amount of time …

nikon - How to set Interval Timer on D7000 to take 180 x …

    https://photo.stackexchange.com/questions/24264/how-to-set-interval-timer-on-d7000-to-take-180-x-25-second-exposures-with-2-seco
I think a key point here is that the interval must be longer than the exposure time. The interval is the time from the start of one exposure to the start of the next. By "2 second interval," I think the OP wants a 2-second gap between exposures... that means the interval should actually be set to 25+2=27 seconds. –

Anybody know how to work the interval timer on D7000?

    https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3486314
Nikon did a horrible job explaining how it works and naming the menu. Now that I understand it, The D7000 internal works great. Your "Interval" ..... the time from start of exposure to start of the next exposure. So a 15sec exposure + plus time it takes to process the 15 sec exposure (green write light goes out) + 6 sec delay (in this case as example) for next shot.

Has anyone had any degree of luck using the interval timer on a D7000? When using a wired timer, I set the shutter to 30 seconds, the interval to 31 seconds and the number of shots to however many I need for startrails. Trying to cut down on kit carried around, I thought it best to try the...

I have bought a new Samyang 14mm f2.8 ED AS IF UMC lens for my Nikon D7000 dslr. I was trying to set the interval timer shooting to take a time-lapse but I couldn't see the option enabled. The date and time settings are enabled and I …

D7000 quits while in interval timer shooting mode

    https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/2996375
I gave up with the D7000 built in interval timer. I just could not work it out at all. I tried so many times with different settings & it still turned off early. Lets face it, you need to be Albert Einstein to work it out. I got a cheapo intervalometer (£25 GBP), which plugs into the GPS socket. It could not be more easy to use.

Here is a description of the items you will need to create your own timelapse. 1. A DSLR camera. 2. A timer device (available from the link above, for your make of camera). Hi everyone! I just started into photography and am using my dad's Nikon D7000 that he bought a while back. And I'm really confused about the Intervalometer mode. So I wanted to take some long exposure night photography to make a timelapse. So I set my exposure to 30secs and went to the inbuilt Intervalometer mode. I set the interval to 5secs.

Interval x shots/interval. The first number (50 in the image below) is the number of intervals, the second number (after the ‘x’) is the number of shots per interval.
