    Maybe I should just rephrase this. If one is slightly uncertain of the best approximate exposure should one, over or under, expose. Negative films are better over-exposed. Slide films (positive) are better underexposed. (Of course, perfect exposure is best.) Digital sensors are like slide films, not like negative films.
