F 70-200 / 2.8 VRII. In my "world" I am need either the cheap Z 28-75 / 2.8 or a used Sigma 24-70 / 2.8 Art or an old used F-mount Nikon 24-70 / 2.8. Yes, you do need at least a f2.8 for most places of worship. Fortunately you have the one lens, that I would use almost exclusively in a church; the 70-200.

It depends on your shooting style, the type of wedding and the venue. The one thing you must have is two camera bodies. A fast 35 and 85 would cover 95% of my needs in a wedding, but I don’t mind having a wider lens also. If it is a very large wedding or church I would throw in a 135 or a 70-200 otherwise I don’t see much need for them.

A 70-200mm f/2.8 makes a wedding photographer invisible. You don’t have to be close to people’s faces; you can capture candid expressions and serendipitous moments from a fair distance away. This lens is especially useful during the wedding ceremony, when you would rather be far away and out of sight or hidden behind a wall or door.

Low-Light Weddings: How to Shoot in a Dark Church

    https://www.colesclassroom.com/low-light-weddings-shoot-dark-church/
One of the common questions I hear floating around is how to take good photos in a dark church. As photographers, we frequently have a lot of creative freedom with where we photograph our subjects, but weddings are the exception. When you are photographing a wedding, you have to be prepared for just about any type of lighting situation.

Frustratingly cannot use flash in church ceremonies. Or any ceremonies. Thanks . Every wedding photographer will have different ways of doing things, personally we have never been fans of using zoom lenses for weddings, we just think the images even using the high end zooms are a bit meh. We mainly use 24GM, 35GM, 50GM and the 85GM
