Wildlife Photography with the Nikon D810 and 400mm f2.8. September 20, 2018 Morkel Erasmus Blogs, Wildlife. When Nikon in South Africa approached me in September 2015 to test out the Nikon D810 and the new lightweight Nikkor 400mm f2.8E FL VR lens I was relishing the opportunity – you see, I was heading to the Mara Triangle in Kenya (part of the Maasai …

Nikon D810 Review - Sports and Wildlife Photography Use

    https://photographylife.com/reviews/nikon-d810/9
NIKON D810 + 150-600mm f/5-6.3 @ 600mm, ISO 1100, 1/1250, f/8.0 Bird photography is complex and very demanding in terms of gear when it comes to autofocus speed, accuracy and response time. The Nikon D810 is an intriguing choice for bird photography, because it sports the same generation high-end autofocus system as the Nikon D4S and it has …

Using the Nikon D810 for wildlife photography - Nikon Rumors

    https://nikonrumors.com/2014/10/04/using-the-nikon-d810-for-wildlife-photography.aspx/
The dampened D810 was a joy to use. With care, I was able to shoot in the quiet-continuous mode, which was not possible with the D3s with some of the subjects I was photographing. Unsurprisingly, it’s not as clean as my D3s. Even with a new processing engine, at 3x the number of pixels, something’s got to give.

The Nikon D810’s AF system (the Nikon Advanced Multi-CAM 3500FX) is extremely fast, and is the same as used by Nikon’s D4s. It offers 51 AF sensors (including 15 cross type sensors. Overall, it is extremely fast and was able to capture and keep even rapidly moving objects in focus and worked very well in low light and low contrast scenes. Nikon …

The D810 would be unspectactular for wildlife due to its slow frame rate, though it would be a much more useful option for landscape, especially on a tripod. It looks like the OP already has a D7000, that is a solid DX body, although it's been surpassed in performance by D7100, D7200, and D500.

Nikon D810 Review: What You Need to Know – Nature TTL

Obviously not to the degree that the D4 camera does, but the D810 still performs as a great wildlife photography camera as it can still shoot in relatively low light comfortably. Here is a “real world” example of the ISO capabilities of this camera. This photo of a cuckoo was taken at ISO 1000, using the Nikon D810’s default noise reduction.

Wildlife Photo Samples of NikonD810 - Wild Photography

Wildlife Photo Samples of NikonD810. December 3, 2017. NikonD810 is always claimed as not a good fit for Wildlife Photography. I have a different opinion on that. Instead of writing a thousand words explaining why it is so, I’m sharing wildlife photographs taken by Nikon D810. Wild Tiger Mother with Two Cubs.

The Nikon D810 may seem at first glance to be a better studio, landscape and portrait camera with it's massive 36.3 MP sensor, but that's not the full story. The D810 gives you the ability to use FX lenses and shoot incredible high-quality landscapes combined with the flexibility to shoot in DX Crop mode.

D500 or D810 wildlife anyone used both: Nikon FX SLR …

    https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4118813
The D810 can deliver great wildlife results if your lenses are long enough and if you don't need a fast burst rate for your subject. The D500 is better for fast action and more reach with shorter lenses. If you can have both, that's awesome.
