E-620 is smaller (by around 1cm in each dimension) and around 180g lighter (body only) Slightly smaller viewfinder with reduced frame coverage (0.96x, 95%, vs. 1.02x, 98%) Improved LCD (Hypercrystal III, vs. E-30s' version II unit) Slower continuous shooting rate (4fps for 5 RAW frames, vs. 5fps for 12) Only allows two exposures to be overlaid ...

The large metal neck strap eyelets are located on top of the camera at the sides, a more user-friendly location than the E-450’s front-mounted eyelets. Weighing in at just over 475 grams (not including a battery), the Olympus E-620 is one of the lightest DSLRs on the market, only weighing about 100 grams more than the E-450.

-Olympus E-500, Olympus E-510, Olympus E-3-Canon EOS 30D, Canon EOS 40D, Digital Rebel-Nikon D50, Nikon D80, Nikon D200 Compared to all of these, the E-620 is an easy winner for me. Customer Service: I have never had my E-620 have any problems, but I did have a small issue with a previous generation camera that needed a repair.

The E-620 gets a greatly upgraded AF system compared to the previous entry-level models. Rather than having three AF points, it has seven, the central five of which are cross-type (sensitive both horizontally and vertically). The E-620's standard kit lens is the 14-42mm F3.5-5.6, which is capable of imager (contrast detect) autofocus in live view.

Olympus has established a tradition of offering very well specified cameras at the entry-level, and was one of the first to offer two cameras in this bracket - the little E-410 and its image-stabilized big brother, the E-510 (later upgraded to the 420 and 520 respectively). Now it has introduced the E-620, a model that will 'sell alongside' the E-420 and E-520 (in the sense …

The new Olympus E-600 DSLR has all the features of a mid-range camera at an entry-level price. Heavily based upon the existing E-620 model, the E600 loses a few of its bigger brother's features in order to hit a more competitive price-point - namely $599.99 / £549.99 with the 14-42mm f3.5/5.6 Zuiko lens. Gavin Stoker finds out if there's still enough on offer in our …

Any love out there for the E-620?: Olympus SLR Talk …

There are likely people here that have or had one John. I only had three 4/3 bodies: an E-1, an E-510, and an E-3. I still have the first and last but have used neither in years.
