    Any fabric store has "blackout material" - it's a white, rubberized fabric that's lightproof and used as a curtain liner. I think you'll find it's pricier than commando cloth. Commando cloth is heavy and could be usable for blackout - it'd cut the light a lot, but I don't think it'd be as lightproof as blackout material.
