After a while it became clear that it would be better to have separate spaces for both so I created a separate channel for my music and dedicated my first account for photographs. Now, I have two dedicated accounts to showcase my work in two separate areas of interest. I have found that not only it helps to keep things organised but it also allowed me to explore both aspects …

In my experience, it’s best to create a separate account. People who follow you personally, do so because they are interested in you and your life. A few photography photos are fine but they mainly want to stay in touch and be apart of your everyday life through your posts and updates.

I think it’s better to establish artist identity and focus your original account on art. It looks more professional and focused. But it doesn’t have to be artwork all the time either, it’s always good to post photos that relate to your art as well, like inspiration, materials, workspace or something personal you want to share as an artist that directly inspires your work.

If you plan to be seen as a professional artist and you have the tendency to post 100 pictures of your meals/pets/selfie with 'funny' filters every day then separate accounts. If your art is more of a hobby and/or if you post 1 non-art related picture every two weeks then no …

It depends on your style, but if you want to promote your artwork, I would suggest keeping friends/family images to a minimum so that the artwork is easily visible. If you want to post more friends/family photos, perhaps a separate account is better. Thanks for reading!

Separate Accounts for Fanart and Comics - Art - Tapas …

I have two separate accounts, one is my personal instagram where I get to be a thot and a few people know of it, and the other is strictly for my art, I barely show my face up there. I don't see a point on separating your art, I think it's actually a good thing to have diversity and let people (potential employers and commissioners) see the ...
