    This is our 2019 guide on where to take the best spectator motorsport photos at Silverstone. Last year we produced a photographic guide for the Silverstone race circuit so as promised then here is the latest update. Silverstone is probably one of the best known motor racing circuits in the UK. An old WW2 flying station located on the borders of Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire, it hosts the headline events of F1, Moto GP and British Super Bike.

    Silverstone is fence central but with a 100-500 that needn't be a problem, plenty of places you can shoot through the fence. Long focal lengths and wide apertures are your friend here, get as close to the fence as you can and you should be able to shoot through it and make it disappear. Luffield is ok but the lower you can get the better.
