- The Department of the Navy no longer uses specific branch training in photography anymore - all military photographers are sent to the Defense Information School ( DINFOS) at Ft. Meade, MD, and receive their training there and they all use the same manuals. (I am an Army graduate of said school) 18. Continue this thread.

- All officers are required to have a full-length color photograph in their official military file, according to NAVADMIN 265/18. The preferred uniform is service khaki without a cover. When service khaki is unavailable, any regulation uniform is acceptable. Officers should have their photo taken at a Navy or Department of Defense facility.
