- Stu Levy was born in Cincinnati in 1948 and is based in Portland, OR. He studied with Ansel Adams and was an assistant to Adams for his workshops in Yosemite and Carmel. A landscape photographer, he has also created portraits of artists, including the Grateful Dead (his photographs were included in a 2013 double vinyl album release).
