    Clingman’s Dome is the highest point in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is a good location to photograph both sunrise and sunset. There is a 1/2 mile trail from the parking lot to the observation tower. The trail is paved but steep. However, good photographs can also be taken from the parking lot.
