Large Format Photography:The Zone VI field camera

    https://www.largeformatphotography.info/zoneVI.html
Zone VI has since made a few minor changes, but the design is still very similar to the Wisner Traditional. In terms of functionality, the two cameras are very similar (but not identical, the Wisner has slightly longer bellows, for example), but in terms of quality, the Wisner wins hands down. No comparison.

I had a Zone VI which was actually a modified Wista DX. It was a nice camera subject within its limits. The "Classic" (Era 2) camera is tripple extension and has interchangable bellows. The extension is longer so you can use longer lenses, and with a bag bellows you can use more movements with a shorter lens. But these cameras are heavier.

the zone vi is a seriously flawed product in my opinion. it is not very rigid, exhibits poor finish quality, and does not accept very many standardized accessories. far better for the money is a wisner traditional or technical. also very good at the same price point is the walker abs and the entry level canham. zone vi -- especially since ...

A review of the regular Zone VI tripod . by Q.-Tuan Luong for the Large Format Page. I have used the regular Zone VI tripod for a couple of years. It is certainly a very well-built and solid piece of equipement, except for the strap which is holding the legs together which came off. This made carrying the tripod more awkward, since you have to ...

In the above image, the yellow is a zone VI. Yellow is generally always placed in zone VI because it has +1 stop more reflectance than average colors. The slightly bright orange can also be considered a +1 here, maybe even a +1/2.
