    It is good for widefield comet shots, M20-M8, and the Orion Nebula. The 400mm lens is good for any target that a person with an ED80 refractor scope would shoot for. There are probably many more worthy targets for this focal length. The additional bonus is you get autofocus on a bright star, even with the 400/5.6!
