How to Use a Wide-angle Lens for Landscape Photography

    https://www.naturettl.com/wide-angle-lens-for-landscape-photography/
1 day ago · The last couple of decades have seen impressive developments in wide-angle lenses. Not too long ago 24mm would have been considered ultra-wide, and 20mm positively exotic, but all modern manufacturers produce lenses far wider than that. The once seemingly extreme 16-35mm zoom now appears quite conservative, with lenses such as Nikon’s Z14-30mm f/4 and …

Aspect Ratios in Landscape Photography

As a landscape shooter I don't need every lens to be f2.8 or faster. I considered the Nikkor 16-35mm but in my testing it was no sharper than the 18-35mm. I had a 14mm prime for awhile (mostly used for astro) but found 14mm to be too wide for my taste. 18mm is plenty wide enough for me. That and the cost eliminated the 14-24mm.

I have two lenses as a landscape photographer: the Sony G 24-105mm f/4, and a Sigma 105mm f/1.4. I once owned a 14mm lens and felt it was too wide for the shots I tend to take, therefore it got ...

How Wide A Lens For Landscape Photography – Fusiontr.com

    https://fusiontr.com/how-wide-a-lens-for-landscape-photography/
1 of my favorite things to exercise with landscape photography is to use an ultra-wide focal length—in this case, 12mm—and fill the frame with a dominant element. The distortion created gives the sense of something being much larger than it may be.

Is 28mm wide enough for landscape photography? - Quora

    https://www.quora.com/Is-28mm-wide-enough-for-landscape-photography
A focal length equivalent to 28mm on a 35mm camera is often considered ideal for landscape photography because it covers a relatively wide angle of view without introducing obvious distortions. 27mm (The In-Between Focal Length) The bottom line is that for a lot of people, a 27mm/28.8mm equivalent is the widest they can go without buying a specialty wide-angle lens.

How to Use Wide-angle Lenses for Landscape Photography

    https://digital-photography-school.com/wide-angle-lenses-landscape/
There is no precise definition of a wide-angle lens, but it includes focal lengths of up to around 40mm on a full-frame camera, 25mm on an APS-C camera and 20mm on a micro-four thirds camera. The definition is hazy because some zoom lenses cover a focal length range from wide-angle at one end to telephoto at the other.

Best Aperture for Landscape Photography

    https://www.photographytalk.com/best-aperture-for-landscape-photography
Many photographers like to use wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lenses for their landscape photography. There’s a good reason for this choice. Wide angle lenses, such as a 28mm or 24mm lens in Full Frame format, and ultra wide angle lenses such as 14mm , 17mm, or 20mm (shown below) take in a broad view of the scene in front of our lens.
