    In reply to davve • Feb 14, 2004 sounds about right, the sock is just to stop any dust getting onto the camera and it needs to be sealed inside some kind of container otherwise the silica gel will just keep absorbing moisture from the air and not dry out the camera. BTW Silica gel can be recycled by drying in a low heat oven.
